Our software products are extremely user-friendly. Students can start
using them without any training. ● It may be used by students to learn,
revise or practise at their own pace. ● A score of 50% and above is shown in blue and one below 50% is shown in red. This makes it easy for the teacher to spot and teach those not doing well. ● An automatic timer shows how long a student has been working on a sum. ● There is a 'Help Me' button for the student who needs assistance in doing any sum. Worked examples similar to the current sum will be shown - no waste of time searching for an example.
● A 'Guide Me' button (selected programs) to guide the student to do the sum, step by step until he gets the correct answer.
● A two-player mode (selected programs) in which two students can use the same computer to challenge each other.
● A student may stop work at any time and print out a detailed report. This is ideal for practice during curriculum time.
Tips for Parents and Students A solid foundation in Algebra is essential in order to excel in secondary school Mathematics. Please take note of the following:
1. Students should first master integers (PanIntegers) in order to learn algebra.
2. Students should immediately proceed to learn basic algebra (AlgeBasics) after mastering integers.
3. Simple linear equations (SimplEquations) could be learnt any time after learning basic algebra.
4. Simultaneous equations (SimulEquations) could be learnt any time after learning simple equations.
5. Algebraic expansion (AlgeXpansions) could be learnt after learning basic algebra.
6. Factorisation of algebraic expressions (AlgeFactors) should be studied immediately after learning algebraic expansion.
7. Quadratic equations (QuadEquations) should follow immediately after factorisation of algebraic expressions.
8. Significant figures (SigniFigures) are independent of algebra and may be learnt at any time.
9. Mensuration (MegaMensuration) may be studied at any time, but it is better to do so after learning simple equations.
10. Fractions (FractionsPractice) are already studied in primary schools and may be practised at any time.
11. AlgeWorksheets can be used to generate worksheets for practice on paper or provide a test on all topics learnt.
